The record exec made the bold claim in a Vibe blog post, stating that the 22-year-old’s next release will rival the legendary ‘Thriller’, which remains one of the biggest sellers of all time.
“Rihanna is coming along incredibly,” Thiam wrote. “I’m trying to push her to where every song will be a hit from one to 12. I’m talking about NO album fillers. Our bar for this album is Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’.”

Rihanna’s album, due next year, includes collaborations with Stargate, Ester Dean, Mel & Mus and Rock City. Ne-Yo, Taio Cruz and The-Dream are also thought to be involved.
David Guetta is another who recently confirmed he had penned a track for the Barbadian star, and said hoped it would make the album’s final cut. "The beat’s ready so we just have to make sure it’s OK with our schedules,” the DJ told the Daily Star.
